Twin Bridge Farms

Founded in 1998, Twin Bridge Farms is a 250-acre operation in Waialua that produces fresh asparagus, tomatoes, sweet potatoes and much more all year round.

Milton Agader

Co-Founder Milton Agader

Twin Bridge Farms is part of a group of farmers who took over the land after Waialua Sugar shut down in the mid-1990s. The company is one of many that have turned to diversified agriculture on the North Shore. Asparagus is a relatively low maintenance crop and has few problems with disease or pests. As a specialty crop, it is in high demand by local restaurants and gourmet shops.

Taste testing pineapples in the field!

Maui Gold pineapple is famous for its extra sweet flavor and low acidity. These characteristics were developed over several years by traditional horticulturalists who crossed hundreds of natural pineapple varieties in the search for the best tasting fruit.  For more information, check out their website!

Small Kine Farm

To make really good mushrooms, you need to have really good material to grow the mushrooms in.  So before there was Small Kine Mushrooms, there was a green-recycling company collecting organic material called O‘ahu Community Recycling (OCR).

Fung Yang

OCR started its operation making fine compost, which happens to be perfect for growing mushrooms! When the owner of OCR, Fung Yang, realized that there was potential to mimic nature and create something useful with the organic green waste he was collecting from private homes and businesses around the island, Small Kine Farm was born.
